About Me
My Work
I have always been creative.
I picked up my first musical instrument at age seven, and my first camera at age eleven.
To this day, all of my creative abilities are a product of the work between then and now, through involved continual practise, persistence and passion.
Music
I am a passionate musician. I have achieved advanced levels of violin performance (Amus.A) as well as intermediate experience in Viola, Piano and Classical Guitar. I have also developed an intermediate skill level with Ableton (music production software). Using this software, I have been fusing together the complexities of classical music with the fresh modern sounds of electronic music. (https://krissaad.format.com/musical-creation).
Tertiary Eduction
I am currently studying a Psychology Honours degree at UOW with a minor in marketing in which I have achieved distinction averages. My strong knowledge in marketing is likely to be valuable while working at the Dragons in roles associated with promotion and media.
Photography
Taking photo's is one of the great joys I find in life. People always ask me - "why do you take your camera everywhere you go". And it's solely for one reason: I'm afraid of losing a moment time which cannot be brought back. In 2013, I received my first DSLR camera which laid the platform for my photography. For five years, I fiddled around with the camera, trying to find my feet in the photography world and what interested me...
It's people and sport...
As human beings, we are so unique and usually bound to encounter peculiar moments throughout a day. My job I feel as a photographer is to ensure that these moments are not lost.
Capturing photos is a way of telling a story, and that is so important when it comes to the NRL...
My aspiration as a photographer/media producer in Rugby League
I feel that taking photos is a way of telling a story, and that is incredibly important when it comes to capturing a game of NRL.
Every game is an unpredictable, unfolding turn of events. Countless shifts of momentum, barnstorming backline movements and brutal defence create the incredible story that is Rugby League.
Looking at this photo (captured by Chris Hyde), every Dragons supporter and many NRL supporters would know that something incredible was happening the moment this photo was captured.
Was it necessary to caption this photo? Probably not.
Because they don't lie when they say a picture is worth a thousand words.
My goal would be to carry on this cliche, so that others who look back on these photo's will smile as they unearth older memories and feelings of euphoria.
Because what forms the basis of my photographic sporting philosophy is appreciating a wonderful game, appreciating people and preserving pleasant sporting memories for others in the years to come...
Biography
To say that I'm a passionate St George supporter is most likely an understatement. For as long as I can remember, the Dragons have been such an important part of my life.
Round one, 2009. Storm vs Dragons. I remember clearly that the Dragons lost that game by a point in the death. I was in tears. In fact when I was a child, most of the Dragons losses resulted in tears.
Maybe I even shed a tear when the Dragons lost in the semi final against the Rabbitohs in 2018 by a single point?
I'm quite the vocal supporter. If the referee misses a blatant forward pass, you should expect me to be out of my seat cursing. If the Dragons score, I will cheer loud and proud along with every other Dragons supporter at the game.
In general, when I have a passion or a goal in sight, I will never fail to work tirelessly to achieve what has been put in front of me.
I am an outgoing and eager young man, who enjoys challenges and is able adapt easily to varying situations. To be given an opportunity to work for the Dragons would mean the world and more to me.
I would take that challenge on with both hands and work tirelessly to ensure my work exceeds the expectations and standards set.
Because combining two of my greatest passions in life is something I would never throw away...
